A Roegdayn of powerful stature, Boulder walks with the form of a hardened warrior. He is a mountain of a man, standing at a mighty 7 fulm, 6 ilm, towering over others of his Hellsguard kin, with shoulders that are broad and thick with muscle. His black hair is tinged with flecks of grey, and he keeps the thick and hard locks fashioned into the customary braids and weaves of his people. An equally thick and coarse beard frames his square chin and chiseled jaw. His pale red skin is weathered from many years upon the road, and his eye color is a unique amber. He bears no small assortment of scars across his face, reminders of battles long past.A veteran of countless battles in the long vigil of a war-bound life, Boulder's frame is massive, rife with muscle and sinew. Thick callouses cover the palms of his hands, earned from years of wandering and countless battles. Numerous scars riddle his arms and torso, earned from blade and bullet alike. Many of these are long since healed, but always are they a reminder of memories borne from war.He is most often clothed in rugged and practical garb, fit for both a wanderer and mercenary. He wears a long, brown overcoat of thick leather overtop a breastplate made from the fallen star metals of his home in Abalathia's Spine. The coat is affixed with belts and buckles, and a simple pouch at his side, as well as a holster for his aetherical charges. He wears thick fingerless gauntless to protect his arms, and his legs are covered by well-worn green leather pants and heavy combat boots. His ensemble is complete with a combat helmet atop his head, from which he can deploy a pair of sturdy goggles.His weapon of choice is a massive gunblade, a fearsome weapon for a fearsome warrior. The blade is made from the selfsame falling star metal as his armor and the rest of hardened and weathered wood. The hilt is wrapped in white leathers and numerous scratches and other signs of use adorn the weapon, and a small etching of Hellsguard runes line the edge of the blade. It is not an ostentatious weapon, but it is deadly as any and Boulder would have it no other way.
Personality
Confident, crude, and loud, Iron Boulder's personality is as big as his stature. A man entirely assured of himself - and utterly incorrigible to boot - he is nevertheless unwaveringly loyal and adherent to a code of personal honor. Hardened by a life of violence and war, his forthright words and keen wit mask a grim determination that fuels much of his existence. Here is a man who can stare down a behemoth without flinching and a smirk upon his face.Though not a warrior like others of his kin, he is nonetheless capable of that selfsame savagery upon the battlefield, and his demeanor is as steely as any son or daughter of Abalathia's Spine. As one might guess, he is stubborn to his core, and fearsome like no other when the need arises. A mercenary by trade, never does he take on jobs that affront his morals, and he will freely help those most in need - doubly so if there's a chance for the thrill of battle.True to the image of the wandering sellsword, Boulder is a man who enjoys the simple pleasures of life - a cold ale, a good cigar, and pleasurable company. Yet, perhaps most of all, he cherishes that which many overlook - the promise of a life lived on one's own terms, and live that life he does. He understands utmost the need for friendship, and though he does not make them idly, when he does - it is for life.
Abilities
Strength - Even for a Roegadyn, Boulder is impossibly strong. He was born the strongest of his village, and there are few that can match his strength. He has been known to wrestle large beasts of the land into submission, heave rocks the size of a man with ease, and crush Garlean magitech with his bare hands.
Master Combatant - Boulder is a fearsome and deadly warrior, who wields his gunblade with an almost preternatural mastery. His skill was honed through years of rigorous training and countless battles, and in his hands the weapon is terrifying like no other. He is also highly skilled in the use of explosives and hunting knife, as well as a personalized style of unarmed combat rooted in grappling and striking.
Aetherical Manipulation - A highly trained gunbreaker, Boulder is skilled in empowering his gunblade with aetherical charges. He weaves these charges into enhanced weapon assaults, his gunblade striking forth with the fury of fire and lightning. He has also developed a technique for turning his aetherical charges into handheld grenades and other explosives, which he can utilize to devastating effect.
Intimidation - Boulder is highly trained in the art of intimidation, able to instill fear into others with little more than his gaze, demeanor, and the application of choice words.
Leadership - Boulder is a commanding and forthright leader, possessing a natural ability to lead. His arena is the battlefield, where he employs his natural charisma and knowledge of battlefield leadership to inspire his followers to almost impossible ends.
Indomitable Will - Through sheer force, Boulder's determination is nigh unstoppable and he possesses a great strength of will. He is able to press on when others might not, and withstand the detriments of physical and mental strain.
Warfare - A trained soldier, Boulder is skilled in the ways of strategy, tactics, and all manner of military maneuvers. He is learned in the various arts of warfare, including reconnaissance, sabotage, unconventional warfare, and other more specialized disciplines.

Boulder is the Commander of the mercenary company known as Boulder's Bruisers. They are a well-respected and highly skilled company that has had a presence in conflicts all over Etheirys.
During his early years as a mercenary, Boulder earned the moniker "The Bull of Abalathia" for his fierce and unrelenting combat style and sheer determination.
He was present throughout the conflict upon the Bozjan Front and claimed many a victory against the Garlean legions.
He has been known to teach others in the ways of warfare and the gunblade, passing on his unconventional combat style to other aspiring soldiers and mercenaries.

Armorer • Loyal Lieutenant
A talented engineer and machinist, Steel Gem is the Lieutenant of Boulder's Bruisers and Iron Boulder's second-in-command. The two met years ago on the streets of Ul'dah and she was the first of Boulder's recruits, impressed by her skill with firearm and smith's hammer in equal measure.Over time, the two have developed a close bond of mutual respect and trust, and Boulder often looks to Gem to manage Bruiser affairs in his absence. She is the primary armorer for the mercenary company, having made the bulk of their armor and armaments, and few can match her keen sharpshooter's eye.
Lissandra Kolaire
Mercenary • Best Friend
Equally mercurial and stubborn, Lissandra Kolaire is a talented battlefield medic and magitek engineer and Iron Boulder's best friend. A fellow mercenary, the pair met during the Bozjan Resistance and quickly bonded over their mutual love for battle and doing the right thing - preferably with an explosion or two.Between the pair, it's difficult to tell which is the more level-headed - in truth, it really depends on the situation. They are known to be a menacing pair upon the battlefield and equally as unpredictable in social situations - a shining example of the friendship that can arise between the unstoppable force and the immovable object.
M’sthah Chall
Engineer • Boisterous Bruiser
M'sthah - or 'Missy' as she's more commonly known - is the chief saboteur of Boulder's Bruisers. A spunky Miqo'te from Gyr Abania's Peaks region, she joined Iron Boulder's company during the Ala Mhigan Resistance and quickly displayed her keen talent with engineering and sabotage.Although the smallest of Boulder's Bruisers, she is assuredly not the quietest, and she makes up for her stature in personality. With her penchant for snark and a love of all things big, she has more than earned her place amongst the Bruisers and Iron Boulder wouldn't have it any other way.
Lexiragh Qalli
Former Student • Melodic Mercenary
A Xaela of the Azim Steppe and member of the Qalli tribe, Lexiragh is a fellow mercenary that Boulder met on a job for a mutual client. The young Xaela showed interest in Boulder's unconventional fighting style and skill with the gunbreaker arts, and he agreed to train the younger man.Lexiragh took quickly to the skill, and he earned the nickname 'Beats' from Boulder, for his unique Qalli quirk of musical speech. Though Lexiragh never joined Boulder's Bruisers, Boulder considers him a respected mercenary and friend and would gladly fight alongside him again.

Hello! Thanks for giving my page a look!I'm almost always up for some RP - especially if my RP tag is on! I'm a pretty friendly player, and Boulder is very approachable! New friends and contacts are awesome, and don't be afraid to approach me for RP. If you want to RP, but are too shy to initiate, let me know and I'll make it happen.I enjoy all sorts of RP, but I very much enjoy character-driven stories and establishing long-term bonds with other characters! I'm open to all sorts of contacts - old friends, rivals, family, fellow mercenaries, veterans of Bozja, Hellsguard, and whatever else.That all said, I'm not a fan of godmoding or harm coming to Boulder without my consent, and I'm not so much into random or roll based combat.
